Day to Date Night Look

Hey y’all! Last weekend my husband and I had a busy Saturday where I needed an easy day to date night look to take me from casual to date night ready in a snap. I have found that sometimes the easiest way to elevate a day look and totally change it from casual to dressy is simply by switching out a shoe and a jacket! So easy. Read on for my take on a simple day to date night look!

Day Look

Our Saturday consisted of running around and doing some errands and grabbing a quick casual lunch, so I wanted to be comfortable and be able to walk quickly to keep up with my husband during our errands. He walks so fast! I dressed down my white distressed jeans, silk and lace cami(one of my favorite camis EVER!), and layered necklace by throwing on a classic jean jacket and some Tory Burch sandals. I was comfortable, and the jean jacket made the cami look much less risque when I was walking into Home Depot! Plus, I live in my Tory Burch sandals and could run in those things if I needed to! Seriously, they are one of the best investments for a great, quality pair of flat sandals that will last! I knew that we were not going to have time to run home for long between our errands and our date night, so I needed a quick change that would totally take this day look to date night ready in an instant.

Date Night Look

I switched out my casual jean jacket for a classic waterfall trench coat to totally transform my look! It is crazy how a simple jacket switch can make it into an entirely different outfit and feel. Then, I switched out my good old Tory sandals for some sassy leopard print heels to really dress up my look and make it fun. I just feel so much more “me” in heels to go out on a date, and I need all the height I can get since I stand at a little over 5’2″! It only took all of 2 minutes for the change up, so my husband was happy too and we weren’t late for our dinner reservation! Talk about a win on my part 😉 I just kept my classic Louis Vuitton Neverfull MM to go from day to night so I could have touch ups for makeup, my camera, phone, etc…for the day!

I do have to say that if you are in the Kansas City area, you HAVE to try out True Food Kitchen! They just opened on Wednesday, March 27th, but we went to the VIP opening last weekend and it was incredible! My new favorite restaurant in the KC area now! I am getting hungry just thinking about all the food I still want to try there, haha.
