Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019: Try On Haul Part 2

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is finally open to EVERYONE! All you who do not have Nordstrom cards and have been patiently waiting to shop the sale, now is your time to go crazy! There is still a TON of cute stuff that is in stock on the sale! Personally, I am hoping they will restock a few things I had my eye on and missed my first go round too. I have rounded up a more in depth try on haul from my initial one last week, and have reviews and sizing info on all my purchases! I also have my husband, Matt’s, purchases linked as well! He always chooses lots of great classic pieces that can be worn to work or out. Several of the items he chose can be worn by your guy now and easily be transitioned into Fall!

I will do a recap again next week of items for men and women that are still in stock, and update on any more purchases I make before the sale ends August 4th! Try On Look 1

I love that I can wear this whole look now and then pair it with some booties and a cute jacket as it gets colder! This blouse could be worn for work as well, with dress pants for a more formal dress code or jeans for a casual dress code. The blouse is a splurge, but I have a few Rebecca Taylor tops currently, and they are amazing quality and really timeless, so they stay current for years and you can really get your money’s worth. I was actually surprised I liked these AG jeans so much since they are a totally different style from what I normally wear. They are so comfortable, I have a feeling I am going to be living in them all Fall! I always buy my AG jeans on the sale since they are definitely a pricier brand of denim, but the quality is AMAZING! My husband also loves his AG denim as well since they hold their shape and color wear after wear, so they are definitely worth the splurge! Lastly, these heels are the perfect updated heel, and you could definitely wear them now and into Fall. The straps are stretchy and the base is a suede material. The tan suede I bought is super limited on sizes, but they come in red and black too!

Try On Look 2

I live in cozy sweaters, distressed denim, and booties during Fall, so this Topshop sweater was a must have! It is still fully stocked in all sizes in the pink color, only a few sizes left in grey, and all but the XS is available in camel! These snakeskin booties are so fun and completely on trend for Fall, but they have very limited sizing available. They did run a little small on me, so I would say to size up half size on the boots! However, they do come in black as well and are fully stocked!

Try On Look 3

Oh my goodness, this sweater is the softest ever! I really wanted a chenille sweater last year and missed out on what was on the Nordstrom sale, and then never found one that I really loved. This one fits perfect, and comes in seven colors! Currently, there are no XS or S available but there is still M, L, and XL available. These booties are by Vince Camuto and they do a version of something like this each year, and I love the pattern on these this year! They come in three colors and are fully stocked in all sizes right now! These I would wear now and then are perfect to transition into Fall!

Try On Look 4

I am so happy that teddy coats are still in this year because this is the softest and coziest coat and I could wear it everyday! My husband just did not understand why I liked this so much, haha! You can keep it casual like I did here with a basic white tee, distressed denim, and some booties, or dress it up by pairing over a dress or a cute cami and leather mini skirt. So many options with this jacket! It is still fully stocked on sizes and comes in three colors. I also always stock up on basic tees during the sale, but I will say this years tees were not as soft or high of quality as in years past. I ended up going a size up to a S in the tee so I can tie it up, wear it off the shoulder, and just give an oversize look. They come in several colors and look to be fully stocked right now on sizes.

Try On Look 5

I am all about leather jackets and this Topshop moto jacket was so good! I wear my leather jackets, moto jackets, and suede jackets ALL Fall long and they go with so much! It totally ups the cool factor of your outfit, and can make a super dressed up look more casual. I paired this with a basic white tee and some black skinny raw hem jeans. I am not sure why I am not wearing any shoes, haha, but I would pair this with some black booties, over the knee boots or some hot pink heels for a splash of color! The jacket is fully stocked and also comes in light grey! The jeans do run a bit small, so I would size up one on these and they would definitely need to be hemmed if you are shorter like me(I am 5’2″)! I actually have not purchased the jeans yet since I already have two other pairs of black jeans, BUT these fit so much better, so I may end up pulling the trigger before the sale ends!

Try On Look 6

I love how simple this look is, and there are so many options on styling this Topshop silk blouse! I liked how this looked more relaxed with the shirt out and not being tucked in, but you could tuck it in and throw a moto jacket over it for a cool look, add a blazer and heels for work, pair it with a mini skirt and booties for date night, etc… So many options! It did run big though, so I didn’t end up buying it although I really wanted a silk button down top and I love oversize things, but this was a bit too big in person. Topshop usually runs true to size or small, so I was a bit surprised!

These boots I fell in love with right away! I ordered them in the tortilla suede color and will get so much use out of them! Standing at 5’2″, they hit right in the middle of my knee, but if you are taller, they would probably hit right below. They are the nicest suede material too! I own several suede shoes and boots and they do fine in the snow and rain as long as you put suede protector on them before each season and clean them before and after each season you wear them.

Try On Look 7

This little suede skirt is everything! I have a similar one from BlankNYC in Black from a sale a few years ago that I love to pair with sweaters and boots in the Fall, so I was so excited when I saw this style and color this year! This coffee bean color will go with so much and I can see this paired with so many cream, black, and grey sweaters! Online the skirt and this Leith wrap top were paired together and I really do love the look of it! The top is a great basic to have and I will wear it with skirts and jeans. It is thin, so can easily be layered underneath a cardigan or blazer too. It comes in four colors and is fully stocked on sizes!

Try On Look 8

I was actually not sure about this dress when I first saw that my go to personal stylist at Nordstrom had put it in there, but I am SO glad I tried it on! I didn’t want to take it off, it was so comfortable! I had all the Stevie Nicks vibes going on with this dress and I can not wait to wear it for Fall! I love it with the knee high boots for a more casual, boho look, but I would pair it with some strappy black heels to dress it up for date night or a wedding. I am imagining how cool this would look paired with a moto jacket too! Right now the dress is fully stocked in all sizes!

Some of the other items I picked up the first day and then ordered online I love as well and you can find them in this post here! Unfortunately, most of the items I bought the first day I could shop are sold out or on super limited size runs right now, but I will update if that changes! The one item that still IS in stock is this Leith cardigan that is so soft and such a great layering piece for Fall! I bought the XXS, as this brand seems to run a bit big on me, and got it in the burgundy fudge heather color, which still has a full size run, as well as the beige oatmeal color! Matt’s Purchases

Matt, my husband, hardly ever finds items on the Nordstrom anniversary sale, and this year he found so many! Normally, either he will find tons of stuff he loves and I won’t or vice versa, but this time we both found so much, which was amazing! He is waiting on orders to come in, so he did not want to take pictures yet, but I am trying to convince him once everything is in 😉 His style is more on the classic, preppy style and occasionally I can convince him to try something outside his box that I think would look great on him. It only took me 10 years to get him to buy a leather jacket, and he finally bought some white jeans last year and even bought a pair of jeans with a bit of distressing on them this year!

Overall, guys have it so much easier than women since they can throw on a pair of shorts or jeans and a button down and look cool and put together. Matt got several great basics in multiple colors that will go from work to out with friends, and he even tried some pieces that were outside of his box! Short Sleeve Button Downs

These are so great because you can wear them now with shorts, and then just have your man throw a cardigan or cool leather or suede jacket and pair with some jeans for Fall. Overall, these all ran true to size, except the short sleeve button down in Red, as that ran a size small. These are all fully stocked in sizes except the red! And how cute is the shark print one?!

Long Sleeve Button Downs

He has SO MANY of these right now, his closet is literally packed full of long sleeve button downs! So, I was so proud when he only got two that don’t look anything like what he already has. I think the chambray one would look so good with white or grey jeans for a casual date night vibe. Both of these are in full size runs right now and run true to size!

Basic Tees

Matt has so many polos and t shirts for summer, but being as hot as it is, he wanted some different options that he could wear now and get out of his box a little. All of these are great since he can easily wear them with his leather jacket for Fall or layer a cardigan or sweater over! He got the henley T-shirt in every color I believe, and all colors are fully stocked on sizes and all run true to size on these too! The Topman polo sweater is so out of his box, but he ended up trying it on and loving it so much he got blue and grey! The grey is still available in all sizes!

Shorts and Cardigan

Matt loves the Bonobos shorts so much he got them in three colors: Cityscape, Monument, and Raw Sugar. These actually have a size 28 and 29 waist for men, which is hard to find, so he was loving that they had his sizes in stock! All the shorts run true to size as well. This 1901 cardigan I love! It is super lightweight too, and so great to layer over t shirts or button downs when it gets a bit chillier out. There is still a full size run in that too and it runs true to size!
