Makeup

KAT VON D “LOCK-IT” FOUNDATION | I have tried so many different foundations, and so far this one takes the cake!  It is so easy to apply with a Beauty Blender or Foundation Brush, depending on the method you prefer.  A little goes a long way with this, which I love!  You just need a few drops to get a full finish, but still letting your own skin show off.  It is buildable, so if you need more coverage, you can easily add to it.  It stays in place all day once I set it!  I keep going back to this one, it’s that good!  I wear the shade 45 Neutral, which I can wear the majority of the year since I wear my sunscreen daily!

IT COSMETICS BYE BYE UNDEREYE FULL COVERAGE ANTI-AGING WATERPROOF CONCEALER |  If you are a night owl like I am, this undereye concealer is the BEST!!  You don’t need much to get full coverage, and it brightens and fully conceals my dark circles after not getting enough sleep so I look well rested and bright eyed.  I set it and it stays on all day and doesn’t crease!

LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT LOOSE SETTING POWDER | I tried this a couple years back, and have been using it ever since!  I use this to set my undereye makeup, as well as the setting powder for my face after my makeup is complete.  It can be used to touch up any shiny spots throughout the day as well, but overall lasts several hours before I need to do this(I have combination skin and my T-Zone gets shiny easier in the Summer months).  It doesn’t give you flashback and is easy to carry in your bag for quick touch ups!

YVES SAINT LAURENT TOUCHE ECLAT PRIMER | I have tried sooo many primers that make all these promises of makeup going on smoother, staying longer, minimizing pores, etc…and always seemed to be disappointed in the delivery of these said promises.  This primer is amazing!  It goes on super easy, gives your makeup a smooth easy base to go on and actually makes it last!  This even makes my makeup look good in these humid Kansas summers we have!  It does just as it says and blurs your imperfections so your skin can look amazing.

NARS SUN WASH DIFFUSING BRONZER | I use this in the color Laguna, and it is not too muddy or too orange for my fair skin.  When I get a bit more color in the summer, this still is the perfect color(I do wear sunscreen year round, so my face never gets THAT much color).  This makes me look alive and just that perfect amount of sunkissed!  There is a hint of shimmer in it, but upon application, it just makes you glow.  You can’t go wrong with classic Nars!

TARTE AMAZONIAN CLAY 12 HOUR BLUSH | I got this in my Sephora birthday gift last year and loved the color so much, I have continued to use it.  I use the color Paaarty and it is the perfect hint of blush that gives you that healthy, slightly flushed look and is not too over done.  You can build up coverage if you want more of an obvious blush color though.  I love that it has a mirror, so it can easily double as an on the go compact!

TARTE TARTEIST DOUBLE TAKE EYELINER | The perfect eyeliner that gives you a felt tip liquid on one end for those perfect cat eyes, and a pencil liner on the other end for a more subtle look.  I also use the pencil as my inner rim liner!  It stays put, so be careful putting it on, but can still be easily removed with oil free eye makeup remover.  This is one thing I can’t go without when I am doing a full face of makeup!

DIOR ADDICT LIP MAXIMIZER PLUMPING GLOSS | I found this through one of my fav bloggers a few years back and now I can’t live without it!  It is the perfect sheer gloss(my go to shade is Pink) that gives just a hint of color and makes your lips fuller without the painful tingle some other lip plumpers can have.  It also hydrates my lips, so I carry it with me in my bag always!

ANASTASIA BEVERLY HILLS BRO POWDER DUO | When I started to fill in my brows(it took years of convincing and someone with a not so heavy hand to convince me), I turned to the master of brows herself, Anastasia Beverly Hills.  I use this along with their brow wiz brush and set it with the brow gel to get the perfect, natural fill for my brows! I use the color Medium Brown.

URBAN DECAY ALL NIGHTER LONG-LASTING SETTING SPRAY | This stuff is AMAZING! I use this to set my makeup when I am done and it seriously lives up to its name!  This makes my makeup stay put all day and all night, even through heat and humidity.  I have even fallen asleep with my makeup on before(I know, it’s so bad!), and my friend thought I redid my makeup the next morning, but it was just this spray really doing the job! It is perfect if you have a long day where you need to look fresh, a wedding, or a special occasion that you don’t want to have to worry about your makeup moving or losing the fresh look.

URBAN DECAY EYESHADOW PRIMER POTION | Anytime I do my eye makeup, I prime it first with this.  I seriously can’t go without it!  It keeps my eye makeup in place ALL day and ALL night with no creasing or colors fading.  It is the best eyeshadow primer out there!

BEAUTYBLENDER | If you have not tried a beauty blender yet, you need to get one stat!  It will change your makeup game completely.  I can’t do my makeup without one and use it in so many steps, from putting on or smoothing out my foundation to setting my undereye concealer and then blending my contour, blush, and bronzer.  Seriously, life changing!

Skincare

GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD ACTIVATED CHARCOAL TREATMENT MASK | Where do I even begin with this?!  This stuff is seriously a miracle worker!  It clears any hint of a breakout to the worst zit ever practically overnight, plus makes your pores smaller and your skin just look refined.  I like to do this mask once a week, especially after I have been wearing full makeup all weekend, to just detox my skin and let it breathe. I have even used as an overnight spot treatment when I had an event coming up and a zit decided to pop up out of nowhere, and it was magically 90% better by the next morning.  If you haven’t tried it yet, go grab a sample and thank me later!

PETER THOMAS ROTH MASK FRENZY | I bought this last year since it was such an amazing deal, and am definitely getting it again this year since they have a couple new masks that I have been wanting to try out!  I love the Irish Moor Mud Mask for getting all the gunk out, the Pumpkin Enzyme Mask for exfoliating and smoothing, the Cucumber Gel Mask to refresh dry skin, and the 24K Gold Mask just feels super luxurious and makes your skin look incredible!  This year they added the Hungarian Thermal Water Mineral Rich Atomic Heat Mask and the Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask that both sound incredible!

PETER THOMAS ROTH 24K GOLD PURE LUXURY LIFT &FIRM HYDRA-GEL EYE PATCHES | I love to use these when getting ready for a night out or other special occasion as I do my makeup.  They depuff, hydrate, and help with darkness and wrinkles.  Plus, they help catch any fall out from my eye makeup!  They feel nice and cool going on, and I always feel that my undereye area just looks so much better after I take them off!

DR. BRANDT MICRODERMABRASION AGE DEFYING EXFOLIATOR | I use this once or twice a week to just give my skin a refresh by taking away all of the dull, dead skin cells.  A little goes a long way on this, so it does last quite awhile!  My skin feels so smooth and clean after using this, and my makeup goes on that much smoother!

SUNDAY RILEY POWER COUPLE DUO | I bought this in the kit earlier this year because it was a better value overall, and I had wanted to try both of these(I love that Sephora does all these kits combining amazing products!).  It is definitely a power couple, and even my husband loved using these.  My skin is semi sensitive, while my husband’s is very sensitive and these were gentle enough to use a few times a week for him and every other night for me.  We both noticed that our skin looked healthier and more youthful overall, so these are a definite restock!

Hair

ALTERNA HAIRCARE CAVIAR ANTI-AGING MOISTURE DUO | I can’t say enough good things about this shampoo and conditioner!  I finally tried it after hearing so many good reviews, and love it!  The best part is it doesn’t have sulfates, which is very important to me, and seemed hard to find a shampoo and conditioner I actually LIKED without that.  It smells great, and I have noticed a positive improvement in my hair overall since using this!  My mane has been shinier, fuller, and easier to style and maintain.

LIVING PROOF PERFECT HAIR DAY DRY SHAMPOO | I swear by this stuff!  I typically only wash my hair two, possibly three, times a week, so dry shampoo is my best friend!  This smells great, gives your hair major life, and actually makes your hair feel clean again.  Seriously, you can’t go wrong with this!

OUAI WAVE SPRAY | My hair is naturally wavy, so this is what I use on the days I just let it air dry naturally to help control the wave.  All you naturally wavy/curly haired ladies know that it can be hard to find something that doesn’t make your hair crunchy and still “wet” looking.  This gives you the perfect amount of control to your wave or curl, leaves it looking natural, and smells so good!

URBAN DECAY NAKED CHERRY EYESHADOW PALETTE | I have heard and seen so many things about this palette, and oh my goodness, all the colors are just gorgeous! It looks like the ultimate Holiday palette and I envision so many different eye makeup looks with this.  Urban Decay always does their eyeshadow palettes right, so this is on my wish list! I always like to get a new palette each season to play with!

NARS ORGASM INFATUATION PALETTE | A couple years back, Nars had a similar palette that I LOVED and used every last powder of.  This has my fav brozer, an amazing highlighter, and one of my favorite blushes for a little bit more of an obvious look all in one!  Plus, the packaging is too pretty 🙂

NATASHA DENONA GOLD EYESHADOW PALETTE | This palette is beyond beautiful!  I love my golds, browns, and bronzes when it comes to eye makeup and this one has it all!  I love the combo of mattes and metallics, so you can create subtle looks or more night out looks.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIP CHEAT LIP LINER | I am a definite newbie when it comes to playing around with lip liner and lipsticks, as I have always been more of a gloss girl.  But, I have heard sooo many good things about this lip liner in Pillowtalk, so I want to take the plunge and try it out! CHARLOTTE TILBURY MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK | I figure if I am experimenting with lip color, I might as well try the lipstick in Pillowtalk to match the liner!  It is a pretty nude pink color, so the perfect color to dip into the water of lipstick before testing out bolder colors!

SEPHORA FAVORITES GIVE ME MORE LIP | I love that this set has so many brands and colors to choose from so you can find your favorite lip color!  This is on my wish list for sure since I am trying to play around more with this side of the makeup world!

KAT VON D SHADE+LIGHT FACE CONTOUR PALETTE | I have been wanting to try a new contour kit for awhile now, and have heard so many great things about this!  Plus, Kat Von D knows a thing or two about makeup and contouring!

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO ESSENTIAL BRUSH SET | I am in dire need of a new brush set, and this one seems perfect!  It has all the essentials for face and eye, a pretty rose gold case, AND a built in easel stand for your brushes?! I’m sold!  I look for quality in my brushes, as well as ease of travel, and this one looks like it completely fits the bill!

Skincare

BEAUTYBIO CONTOURING ROSE QUARTZ ROLLER SET | This set looks amazing!  I have been wanting to try a roller for awhile now, and have heard so many good things of how they can help depuff skin in the morning and tighten overall.  The Rosehip Oil that comes with this set is supposed to improve hydration, tone, and radiance, and I am all about anything that can help to look more youthful!

FOREO LUNA MINI 2 | I have been wanting to try an exfoliating cleansing tool for awhile now, and after talking with my dermatologist, this was one of the suggestions she provided.  The reviews speak for themselves on this, so I can’t wait to try it!

BEAUTYBIO GLOPRO MICRONEEDLING FACIAL REGENERATION TOOL | I currently have a  microneedling tool that I use at home, but this one is microneedling on steroids!  The tool amplifies absorption of skincare products 200 times and is supposed to give you firmer, smoother skin.  Anything that sounds like a medical spa at home, sign me up!!  It also has lots of different attachment heads you can pair with it for lips, eye, and body, which I would love to try as well!

SLIP SILK PILLOWCASE | Silk pillowcases are my favorite, and one that can help prevent premature wrinkles, prevent split ends, and help make my hair more manageable while I sleep is right up my alley!  This would be a great gift for your best friend, Mom, Sister, or in-laws!

PETER THOMAS ROTH FIRMx PEELING GEL | I am one of those weird people who likes to see the gunk leaving my skin, and this look so cool and satisfying!  I always feel so much better after exfoliating my skin, and have seen some great reviews on this!  Plus, I love any excuse for a spa day at home!

TATA HARPER NOURISHING OIL CLEANSER | This oil is made with natural ingredients, which I love!  I have been wanting to venture into using cleansing oils to keep my skin nourished and still removing all the makeup and any grime or pollution off my skin at the end of the day.  Tata Harper products have been on my wish list for awhile, but I am hoping to try this soon!

SK-II FACIAL TREATMENT ESSENCE | I got a sample of this a few months ago, and was in LOVE!!  Even just using the sample for two weeks, I noticed such a difference in my skin texture and clarity.  I would love to get the full size and incorporate it into my everyday skincare routine to see what it can really do!

OLEHENRIKSEN BANANA BRIGHT EYE CREME | I had a sample of this a few weeks ago, and loved this too!  I definitely stay up way too late a majority of the time, so there is not much avoiding dark circles the next day.  I noticed a difference after using the sample for a few days, and would love to make this a staple in my skincare routine!

LANEIGE LIP SLEEPING MASK | I can’t go without my lip balm everyday since my lips tend to get dry, so I think I need this lip mask!  I have heard so many good things about this, and an extra boost of moisture on my lips before I go to bed sounds so soothing!

Hair

OLAPLEX HAIR PERFECTOR NO. 3 | My hair is long and fine with lots of strands, so I am always looking to try hair products to keep it strong and healthy.  I have heard this is just a miracle treatment making your hair super healthy, shiny, and soft!  Plus, it helps it to grow, and I would be just fine with some mermaid hair!

T3 WHIRL TRIO INTERCHANGEABLE STYLING WAND | This has been on my wish list for quite some time now, and the more I hear about it, the more I want to take the plunge! It is definitely on the pricier side of curling irons, but you do get three wands in one, which is a good deal.  I typically curl my hair on the weekends because it gives my hair more body and life, and overall just feels more done to me than leaving it straight.  If you are like me and curl your hair often, this could definitely be a good investment!
